My own personal soap box

Its funny -- I've always been too self-conscious to keep a journal -- afraid of how puny my life will seem when read by a stranger at the end, yet here I am starting a blog. It seems terribly self-absorbed to think that anyone will read my musings, but it is a nice way to keep folks up to date on the kids at least, so here goes. I'll be spending the next few days catching up from this summer in Vermont, and then the real adventure will begin.
